Sarah Coogan

B.A., English, Wheaton College, IL

Prof. Coogan specializes in British and Irish Modernist literature, particularly poetry. Her research focuses broadly on Modernist appropriations of the past, and she is especially interested in the intersection of nostalgia and nationalism in these texts. Her focus on national identity connects with a general interest in public discourse and debate, which shapes her teaching in the University Writing Program.
